Our Story

Established in 2002, McKinley Springs is dedicated to the craft and production of exceptionally balanced, flavorful bulk wines. Internationally renowned, McKinley Springs winery has grown well, wisely sourcing fruit only from the family-owned estate that lies in the heart of the highly acclaimed Horse Heaven Hills AVA in southeastern Washington.

Stemming from over 80 years of farming and 40 years of wine growing excellence, McKinley Springs grows over 20 varietals of both red and white. Our reds include: Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Mourvedre, Nebbiolo, Petite Verdot, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Zinfandel. Our whites include: Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Rousanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Vioginer, White Riesling.

Mckinley Springs focuses on producing the absolute best grapes for bulk wine, while also proudly and consistently supplying the most prestigious winemakers in the Pacific Northwest with award-winning fruit. The family’s dedication to quality has developed a stellar reputation by patiently transforming the 3000+ acre estate into one of the largest contiguous vineyards in the state of Washington.

Mckinley Springs statement

We thrive in making fine bulk wines that enrich the taste & soul.

History

During World War 2 the United States Military used the land where Mckinley Springs Vineyards are located at as a bombing range. After the war ended in 1945, the U.S. Government gave a$10,000 stipend to rebuild and continue farming in the Horse Heaven Hills in Washington State. Used this to farm dryland wheat. We secured water rights in the 1950’s which allowed for drilling wells. Up until this point everything was dryland farming. As our wells improved and the gallons of water increased, vineyard farming became viable! Thanks to our founders and our generations after generations of hard work and dedication, our grapes are found in the worlds best wines.

Results

Over 80 years of perfection, award winning family owned and operated deliver unmatched results. Our grapes are found in the best wines around the world, thanks to four generations of dedication and hard work.
